E-Van Guru is a team of 'e-van-gelists' led by Brian Bachelor, who, with over 30 years’ experience in the commercial vehicle industry, and an advocate for Green Fleets since 2014, is recognised as one of the UK’s leading e-Van experts.
All of the team have first-hand experience working in the commercial vehicle industry and are passionate about the transition to electric fleets.
Brian Bachelor, the driving force behind E-Van Guru, has over 30 years’ experience in the commercial vehicle industry, including 7 years promoting electric vehicles – a combination of skills that’s currently all too rare in the automotive industry.
At West Way Nissan, Brian and his team negotiated the first major e-van fleet deal in 2014, and have gone on to sell thousands of electric vehicles to SME’s, national fleet, public sector and government agencies.
Together, the E-Van Guru team has almost 70 years of combined commercial vehicle experience across brands including Volvo Trucks, Isuzu, Mercedes CV, Mitsubishi, VW Commercial Vehicles and Nissan.
“After a decade at West Way Nissan, it was a huge decision to leave, as whilst Nissan continue to lead the way with its e-NV200, new market entrants Maxus, and PSA brands (Citroën, Vauxhall and Peugeot) and imminent launches from Ford/VW and Mercedes make this an exciting time to be manufacturer independent.”

Brian started his career as a commercial vehicle diesel technician, however, it is in vehicle sales where he has really excelled. He leaves West Way Nissan as General Manager of its Fleet, Leasing and Business Centre operations overseeing the sale of over 10,000 vehicles per year.
Throughout his career, Brian has become a well-known figure is the industry, building relationships with companies – large and small – across the West Midlands, and indeed across the breadth and depth of the UK.
“The ‘age of electric’ is now upon us, but too many companies and public-sector organisations have struggled to adopt a comprehensive electric fleet solution, and this has to change. Working with electric vehicles since 2014, when Nissan launched its first 100% electric van, I’ve watched the market unfold and change.
I understand the barriers to the adoption of an E-fleet, but also the benefits – both environment and financial – it’s our mission at E-Van Guru to play an active part in removing these barriers and to accelerate take-up”
